  At YOCA (Youth Opportunity & Community Advancement), our mission is to empower young people to discover their potential, build strong character, and develop the confidence, leadership, and life skills they need to thrive.

Through mentoring, character education, leadership development, career readiness, and meaningful community experiences, we create opportunities that inspire youth to grow into responsible leaders who positively impact their families, schools, and communities.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed—regardless of their background or circumstances—and we are committed to helping them build a brighter future.

  For more than a decade, YOCA has been dedicated to empowering children and young people through leadership education, character development, and meaningful community engagement.

Since our beginning, we have partnered with local communities throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts to provide opportunities that help youth build confidence, develop leadership skills, and discover their potential. Our work has reached more than 8,000 children through a wide range of educational and community-based programs.

Over the years,
